1. Purchase price $ ________________, how paid _____________________

2. The breeder guarantees the health of this dog for one week beginning on the date of purchase and strongly recommends that the buyer have this dog examined by his/her vet during this time.  If the dog is found to be ill or unhealthy, the buyer may return his/her dog and corresponding paperwork from the veterinarian and paperwork given to buyer at time of purchase, such as health records, etc. to the breeder within one week of the purchase date for a full refund o
f the purchase price.  This does not apply to accidents or incidents, such as broken legs or poisoning. The breeder will not assume any liability for any injury to said dog after purchase/delivery.

This dog is guaranteed to be free of hereditary defects for the first year of its life.  In the event that the dog develops any genetic disorder which is sufficiently serious that the dog cannot be considered a good pet as deemed by two independent qualified veterinarians, one of whom is selected by the breeder, the breeder agrees to: (a) Replace the dog with one of equivalent quality from the next available litter bred by the breeder or, at the breeder's option; (b) Refund the original purchase price. Medical proof of any claim must be provided to the breeder and the breeder's veterinarian.  Any other disorders that may develop at any point during the dog’s life, provided the dog has not been over-vaccinated, will be considered on a case by case basis.  Please notify us if your dog develops any health issues or if you have any questions regarding your dog’s health.

3. The buyer agrees that neither he/she nor the buyer’s estate/executors may sell this dog or transfer ownership of this dog without the breeder’s knowledge and written consent. If the buyer cannot keep or properly care for above dog at any point during the life of the dog, the buyer will notify the breeder and the breeder will have the right of first choice to either: (a) take the dog back, or (b) assist the buyer in finding a suitable (as deemed by the breeder) home for the dog. This will be free of charge to the buyer. We take care of our own from birth until death. Your dog is always welcome back home!!  If it is found that the above dog has been placed without notification, surrendered or sold to a pet store, wholesale outlet, dog pound/shelter or rescue organization, the breeder reserves the right to take immediate repossession of the dog and fine the buyer $2,000 (two thousand).  If the dog is found to be abused or neglected the breeder reserves the right to take immediate repossession and will owe the buyer no financial compensation.

4. The buyer understands that this dog is not intended for breeding and will be sold on limited registration. This will allow the buyer to compete in AKC events such as agility, rally, obedience, herding, 4-H, etc, but not conformation. The breeder requires that this dog be neutered before one year of age. Breeder strongly recommends surgery between four and six months of age, especially in males. This preserves their sweet disposition, and helps keep them from wandering.  If done young, it prevents males from lifting their legs. The breeder agrees to send the buyer AKC registration paperwork after the breeder has received a copy of the said dog’s certificate of sterilization as provided by the buyer’s veterinarian.  In the event this dog is found to be bred, the breeder reserves the right to take immediate repossession of the dog and fine the Buyer $2,000 (two thousand) per litter.

5. When the above dog is registered by the new owners through AKC, the buyer agrees to use the “Kenset” prefix as the first part of the dog’s registered name.

6. Buyer agrees that the dog is not purchased for resale nor will it be used or trained for activities which are illegal or for which the dog is not suited by reason of temperament or conformation. Specifically, it will not be used as a guard or attack dog, to hunt or fight other animals, or to be used as bait in such fights or hunts.

7.  Both the Buyer and Breeder/Seller have read the above contract and understand and agree to all the conditions stated herein. If buyer is purchasing said dog outside of Oregon, buyer waives all rights to any local regulations regarding the sale or purchase of this dog, unknown to the seller. No amendments or attachments have been made/added to this contract. Both parties agree that any legal action to enforce this contract will be brought forth in Lane County, Oregon where the breeder resides.
